Re: March Paradiso 2019 gig

I think I would find that setlist quite hard work. I can understand the whole album thing with orchestra, choir and all the bells and whistles, but with just a core band? Strikes me as a bit of a snoozefest. It was a bit of a snoozefest. Playing ANH completely wit all the midtempo ballads was a bit...

Re: New Steve Mason track, LP, UK Tour

Listening to this now. Sounds pretty good. Rocket is great indeed, as is the title track. Can’t help but wonder how much better sound quality wise ANH would have sounded if Jason had used a proper mixing engineer. I mean if Steve Mason - not a big seller, is he? - can afford Stephen Street, so could...

The Morning After is a bit too much a sequel to Hey Jane, for my taste. Also not too keen on the saxophones in that track.

Anyone here familiar with Loudon Wainwright III (Rufus'dad). I think The Lonely Rock 'n roller in Let's Dance is a nod to his song Motel Blues, which opens with "In this town the television shuts off at two; What can a lonely rock 'n roller do".
