Yeah, the reviews have been really positive. I guess Uncut is publishing their review in their next issue, which has Neil on the cover and features a lengthy article about all of his lost albums.

Re: Neil Young : Hitchhiker (unreleased 1976 album) - out 7-
I've been keeping up with all the news on this. The word is that the release date has been pushed back to September 8th. Multiple music news outlets have reviewed it already, so promo copies are out there. I highly doubt they will pull it knowing that it could easily leak if it doesn't get an offici...

Re: What gigs have you got coming up?
Really unsure about Luke Haines - I used to love the Auteurs and I've enjoyed some of his solo records, but I haven't really listened to his recent LPs and I'm just not as interested as I may have been only a few years ago - but he only comes to Scotland maybe once every 10 years these days. On the...

Mr. C was in the room with the glass box with another guy that looked like he was wearing a white robe or maybe a lab coat. Hard to tell. So, maybe Mr. C is the "billionaire" who financed the glass box and it was designed with the intent of trapping Cooper after he got out of the black lod...

Re: Twin Peaks Returns
I was a little disappointed with episode 10. The plot didn't really move much and it didn't seem like we got very much new and interesting information. Nadine has a drape runner store. Richard is still an absolutely evil prick. Dougie now has the casino mobsters after him. I'm starting to think that...

It has its moments, but I think you'd be better of with the first three Funkadelic albums and/or Standing On The Verge. Hazel's version of "California Dreaming" on that solo album is great, though.angelsighs wrote:is Eddie's Game, Dames and Guitar Thangs solo record worth checking out?

Eddie Hazel is a badass and under-appreciated. I didn't know this until just now, but he co-wrote every song on the '74 album, Standing On The Verge Of Getting It On, which I'm listening to now. Man, so so so great. I love the first three Funkadelic albums, but it's a real treat discovering this one...

Another fantastic episode. Nice to see the plot moving fast now. Jerry Horne's scene was an instant classic. "I am not your foot." Loved that. The Briggs stuff was mind-blowing. This episode reminded me more of the original than any of the previous episodes. Not sure what to make of Sky Fe...

Is the tracklist of the LITA release a good one? Kinda hard to say considering there are 9 unreleased songs on it (out of 16 total). They're calling it an anthology, but I feel like that's not quite accurate. It's definitely an odd release, but I'm down because I'm psyched to hear the unreleased ma...

Cindy would be the one to start with. Sublime from top to bottom. I like the later ones, but they can feel a bit relentlessly slow and quiet sometimes. I'm not surprised McCabe defended Forth . He was more a part of that album than Urban Hymns . I kind of agree with him that it is unfairly derided, but I haven't listened to it in a long time. There are some good songs, for sure. It's a real shame that "Love Is Noise" was the first single ...

I was at the Chicago show at Lincoln Hall in 2014 when they played a number of new and as-yet unreleased tracks. That was really exciting. Like many Spiritualized shows, the sound was off for the first few songs, but it was super exciting hearing all of those new songs.
