Re: MBV Roundhouse tickets
Seems like there are more people from this board going to this night than were at Koko a few weeks ago for Spiritualized! I haven’t felt this up for a gig for longer than I can remember. Last MBV gigs I went to were at ULU (both nights) supported one night by Sonic Boom and Godflesh or was it God?...

Re: How did you get turned onto Spiritualized?
Just a progression really from Spacemen 3 who I hooked onto around mid 88. After a couple of years seeing the Spacemen as often I could it seemed only natural to see a band who were (with one obvious exception) Spacemen 3.
How I got into Spacemen 3 is a better story.
Well, not that much better.

Last year damn near finished me off too, good weekend though! This is the first one I am missing since 04 mainly because everyone I went with over the last few years couldn’t face another weekend in the Somme. I also think Michael Eavis’s arrogance and constant sniping at his patrons has finally...

Yep, Mudhoney were the support that night, in their pomp really around the time of Superfuzzbigmuff. Best Mudhoney gig I saw was a couple of months later at the School of Oriental & African Studies. Some guy took a picture of the band while he was diving off a speaker stack, it got reported in t...

Sorry Rob but I think they might have done two nights at Kilburn because I was at the Notre Dame Hall gig too! My memory is a bit sluggish these days so all I can see is I saw Spiritualized play at the ULU just when Anyway That You Want Me Came out. I was at that gig. It was a turning point as previous gigs had been very quiet and you could chat in a normal voice and be heard. The ULU gig was all wah-wah an...

Quiet Saturday night a few weeks ago, bottle and a half of wine to the good and mooching around on YouTube. A random train of thought went to a person I hadn’t seen for several years and remembered going to see Cardiacs with her at the Surbiton Assembly Rooms in May 1985. Lo & behold there on ...

She's never forgiven Spiritualized for giving her a night of hell at Hammersmith on the Let It Come Down tour. The white noise, extreme strobe effect wasn't for her liking. Hehehehe.
