Much better than the last couple of albums that's for sure, although "Oh Vanity" perhaps should have "Time is Tight" placed in brackets after it as it bears more than a passing resemblance to the Booker T & The MGs tune of the same name. No bad thing though.

Yep, Mono are as loud as you'd expect and not to be missed if you ever get the chance. Last saw Mogwai 2 years ago and it was one of the greatest gigs i ever saw them play,mindblowing! Of course the fact that i was peaking on acid just as they came on probably helped! :lol:

Most definitely 1993. I was there and apart from the tunes, the fireworks and white beams of light from the milkbar are instantly recognisable. See my post in music for more info. Many consider Jesus & Mary Chains reunion work (Stoned & Dethroned and Munki) as their best work. I don't, but it's to be included. The Mary Chain hadn't actually split up before these albums just their normal 2-3 year gap between releases. The new album due out this year will be their reun...

Was always under the impression that he had no time for organised religion at least. Can't say its been an amazing year for music but then again considering the insane amount of gigs and festies this year i haven't been able to buy much music.
