Re: Shop returns policy for faulty vinyl

UPDATE - just had this pop up in my email. All solved now but they still don't really get the "returns policy" system do they. It took a week of me sending emails, getting more and more frustrated, before they said what should've been said over a week ago, ie: please return for a refund. H...

If you bought it mail order the distance selling regulations are your friend. A quick Google gives a load of links, this one seemed OK: http://www.which.co.uk/consumer-rights/regulation/distance-selling-regulations . You can return it whether it is faulty or not. Shop returns policy for faulty vinyl

An interesting/frustrating situation is going on for me at the moment with Transmission Records http://transmissionrecords.co.uk/ based in Margate, UK. Re: New turntable and record collecting in general

Just ordered some of those anti-static sleeves, cheers. I'm not in the market for £350 cleaning machines though. The wet clean debate is one of the biggest vinyl-care minefields out there I reckon. Some swear by it, some say it's wrong, some use this, some use that. It's pretty crazy I must say. The...

It's a vinyl-care minefield out there I must say. Pretty sure I didn't have so many problems with vinyl back in the late 80's and 90's when I first started collecting. The past year I've had too many snap, crackle and pops with surface noise and what not so buying a "static free" cork mat ...

Do any of you good chaps use a cork mat upon your turntables? My set up has been attracting a fair amount of static so I Googled it all and ended up buying a Project cork mat for £20. Such a great album, really is. I'd easily put in my top 3 for the year. Her gig at Camden Koko a few weeks back was simply amazing. Does anyone like Weyes Blood? Her new album "Front Row Seat To Earth" should appeal to fans of My Woman I reckon. It's from the folky side of life, influenced...

Re: Andrew Weatherall - 'Convenanza'

Great interview with the Guv'nor here: http://www.theguardian.com/music/2016/feb/25/andrew-weatherall-interview-dj-disco-maverick . If you can bear picking up Q Magazine then there's another interview in there too. Plus a really nice one with Nina Walsh here http://www.factmag.com/2016/02/18/andrew-...

Re: Daft Punk Unchained Documentary ...

Their first three singles were all on Soma. I've got The New Wave, Da Funk, both on Soma 12's and then there was the Indigo Silver Club too. Re: mark lanegan

I'vee tickets for this at the Union Chapel in London, which is a lovely venue, saw the Spz acoustic mainlines gig there a few years back. Lanegan will be cool acoustic, and I love Dukes 'Heavy Love' album and their joint Black Pudding album. Should be a special night.
