Re: worst song?
Unhappy to say this, but the 2 songs J shouldn't have recorded: - On fire : complete dissapointment when I heard it for the first time, didn't change my opinion about it after listening to it several times. - Waves crash in : waves crashing in that's for sure, but they're going no direction Conclusi...

Re: If you could bring a dead rock star back to life
I would go for a full dead line up:
jimi Hendrix and brian jones on guitar
the ox on bass
john bonham on drums
coltrane on sax
miles davis on horns
zappa on vox
should rock at least!

unfortunally the download ended after waiting for about 2 hours  , seems like the maximum capacity I can get from megaupload is 300mb in one time. sob. The first 6 songs that I managed to download aren't playable: whenever I try to open them I get the message 'damaged file header'. Nothing work...

There's a song on the Hex album which makes me dream how it would sound like if Ennio Moricone was on heroin. For me Hex was one of the albums of the year. The recent cd is also pretty ok, the dvd suffers under poor sound quality during the interviews. Anyway, if you have the chance, go and see them...

Songs Johnny Cash should have covered
Bought the last Johnny Cash album, 'a hundred highways' a couple of weeks ago and couldn't help thinking about other great songs he could have covered. So my mind went to these: - the drugs don't work (the verve) - lay it down slow (spz) - my funny valentine (chet baker and many others) - sad and bl...

Saw Monster Magnet at an open air festival something like 13 years ago when they played Spine of God and suddenly it started thundering. Mix this experience with a nice tablet of acid and you know what they meant with saying 'it's a satanic drug thing you wouldn't understand'...

Don't know too much about Brian Jonestown Massacre, just picked up some songs from them on KazaaLite long time ago and it sounded pretty ok to me. As far as for the influences: here we're all musiclovers and it's great discussing the music, but is it really necesarry to strip everything to the bone?...
