I just read the shocking news that Chris Robinson Brotherhood's guitarist Neal Casal has died, aged just 50.

This is pretty awful to hear anyway as he was so young, but a really nice guy by all accounts, a very good photographer and one hell of a guitar player too.

So sad.

He's pretty cagey! I used to be in touch with him but he stopped responding to messages, enquiries etc. Quite a bit of discussion as to who he actually is, but I suspect he's in a band or at least in the music industry. His music library is endless it seems.

There arent that many poor venues here Ian & the Stylus is hardly small. I've listed them in my review. Plus we have what many consider the best venue in the UK in the form of the Brudenell.

If you want really poor venues a trip to Manchester is all you need. Or even London. Loads there.

If you read many tweets from Hookworms they don't hesitate to lay into bands where vaguely similar accusations have been made. They constantly said 'Always Believe Survivors', so it's hardly surprising how volatile the reaction has been to these allegations.

Well the album is there to stream... Jump to Ullswater if you want to see what I mean. It's superb.

Played the rest of the album & I much prefer the slightly more conventional singing style than all the screeching he used to do. They've toned that echo down too which is a blessing.

Couple of shows in the last week. I took all my children to see The Damned at Leeds O2 Academy last week. That was a thrill in itself but they all loved it, but how could they not? Well in the UK we ripped off on everything like that so there is no way of finding that Pioneer machine for anything even near £200... So far it's been tricky. Getting the music on started off OK with iTunes but I've abandoned iTunes now as every time you went to update the musical content it starte...
