I was liking the look of this too. Again, not a big fan of the Cure but was drawn to the Ride and Slowdive double-whammy. Be interesting if those 2 are on the "other stage" which is usually a large tent at Hyde Park.

Kikakagaku Moyo were superb last week Sighs. Like you say, they seem to nail both the hard and soft versions of modern psych so well. Packed venue (prob 200 odd) and everyone really digging it. You should definitely go to the Brum gig if you can. Psychic Lemon were awesome as well and was a pleasure...

Casau Sui, Papir and pretty much everything else on their parent record label, El Paraiso, are fantastic. I've got the live Causa Sui box set you speak off and the package as a whole is great. Such a great back catalogue for you to delve into. Enjoy.

Kikagaku Moyo were absolutely incredible last night. Went on a date night with Mrs Shines and she was equally impressed. Like the rest of the UK dates, Tau supported. They were good but a bit samey after a few songs and I could take or leave them really. Kikagaku Moyo though are the real deal....fan...

Kikagaku Moyo, Tau and Helicon - Nice & Sleazys, Glasgow A trio of amazing bands on in Sleazys on a Saturday night. 30 people tops (incl barstaff and bands members) so really disappointing but the bands came on stage and played like the place was packed. Helicon are a real gem of a band. Lovely...

Kikagaku Moyo in Brighton on Monday night. I know a few people on the forum saw them in Manchester last night and were very impressed. I saw them in London a couple of years ago and was blown away by them so very excited about seeing them again (and then again at this year's Liverpool Psych Fest) 8)
