I'd heard 'The Fairest Of The Seasons' a few times. I'm not too familiar with much of Nico's stuff. Chelsea Girl has been on my list for a while. I've heard it recommended. I know most of VU played on it. I'll order it later. Any other pointers? Spacey, I'll never look at our Serbian centre-back in ...

I caught them too, Greatape. It was TV gold! It beat any performance I'd watched from last night's Glastonbury by a country mile. The band were so tight and I couldn't take my eyes off Iggy. I've never seen the audience on the Jonathan Ross show before. They crowd were shitting themselves. Did you s...

Like any list I suppose this could change in an hour. Flicking through my record boxes earlier, I came up with these: 50's - C'Mon Everybody - Eddie Cochran 60's - See Emily Play - Pink Floyd 70's - I Feel Love - Donna Summer 80's - Love Is A Wonderful Colour - The Icicle Works 90's - I Wanna Be Ado...

I've listened to 'Reflecter' twice now and think it's superb. Really fuzzed-up, feelgood stoner-rock. I've also listened to 'Other Way Out' but I'm not keen on it. It seems too noodly and boring. I'll give it another go, but I'm not optimistic about it. 1 out of 2 is good though. Looks like I'll be ...

BZA, you've just put a big smile on my face with your last post. It just instantly made me realise what a happy time of my life 1997 was. Kind of set me on a nostalgia trip without warning. Not that I'm not happy now, but it's just that life seems much more fun when you're 18 instead of pushing 30.....

Rockers is great. Fuzzhead, i tried to make the connection of that description with another film called 'Countryman' and that's also a great film. Jig, thanks for the tip. I ordered the 'Countryman' DVD and watched it last night. I loved it. What a hero he is! He's got a killer smile and laugh too....

Speaking of which - 'Sound of Youth' by These Animal Men? Awww - I loved These Animal Men as a skinny little teenage kid. I thought they were ace, and LOVED the way they looked. Re: Sorry
Hey sorry Fuzz, My initial reaction was one of joy at finding some sounds that I liked after so many purchases recently that didn't cut it. BUT, after living with these tunes for the last couple of days certain things started to grind...does that make sense? Its like a reverse grower lol. So my pos...

Re: ok
Ok, I enjoyed Return Journey, nice heavy psych, songs a bit weak though. I thought Libertine wasn't so great though. MHO though is they are a bit too Kula Shaker for my tastes... You've changed your tune very quickly. The two albums you listed above as being "weak" and "not great&quo...

One thing I forgot to mention is the reggae film 'Rockers' which was made in 1977 - for those not in the know that's the absolute peak for roots reggae. That's quite a nice little Scream collection you've got their Runcible, for a Scream-Basher! It is mostly Weatherall-era, so I suppose that's your get-out-clause. I love Vanishing Point. Runcible, you've said you really like Screamadelica, although you credit it as a Weatherall album. In that sense Echo Dek is really a Adrian Sherwood album. You definitely need to hear it.
