I bought a Timeshard album from a record shop and when i got it home and took it out of the sleeve i was greeted with the sight of half a record, the other half still in the sleeve. They'd obviously sold it to me like that, luckily i was a regular and there was no trouble in changing it for me.

I also don't think it gets really interesting until Ripley throws in his acid guitar solos towards the end section of each track. Hit the nail on the head there Runcible. The only problem i have really with Wooden Shjips / Moon Duo is the drums, both the plodding beat and the actual sound of them. ...

Have been listening to Escape the past week. First off, 4 songs clocking in at under 29 minutes does not constitute an album in my book. An e.p. certainly, at best a mini album, but not a full LP. Just a heads up in case anyone was expecting 8 or 9 tunes over the course of an hour. As for the music?...

Pleasantly surprised to see that Hope Sandoval and The Warm Inventions are back in Dublin on Friday 7th May in the very small confines of Whelans. She'd never played Ireland up 'til last year and now we're getting a second gig in 7 months!

Comets on Fire i think fell into the trap that lots of bands do: pursuing a "classic" sound. I liked "Field Recordings.." and "Blue Cathedral" but found "Avatar" to be quite dull, of course that turned out to be the album that got them most plaudits and recog...

I think ATP should sort out the downloadable version and enable us to obtain what was advertised. Perhaps they're not aware it's the old version, as I can't believe it would have been intentionally set up that way. I'm going to email them tomorrow unless someone does it sooner. I think ATP should sort out the downloadable version and enable us to obtain what was advertised. Someone at ATP has been very helpful and apparently they will be sending out another certificate/prescription thingy for me next week. *fingers crossed* I've been told that too.
