Saw them supporting Wolfmother in January and the new material that night definitely had a very 60s / Elevators edge to it. I think Telephone is decent enough, not too happy at the idea of yet another 30 minute "album" though. Surely bands can come up with enough material for 45 minutes?

They're playing indoor shows in Belfast, Dublin, Manchester and Sheffield from June 2nd - 6th. Got my ticket today :D

Just had a listen to the Gnod/White Hills album, very nice indeed. I was expecting it to be a full on assault and a bit all over the place at times but it's not, in fact it's very focused and almost restrained. Recommended. Pity the sleeve was a bit bent when it arrived. :(

Blue Day is Slowdive's first album, which is a compilation of their first three EPs: Slowdive, Morningrise and Holding Our Breath. It's good stuff. . A mate of mine, even though he liked it himself, gave me the album in the late 80s. Dunno why he did but i'm glad he did. :D
