I think I actually preferred Bo Ningen overall. they were a nice bit of gonzo psych rock, some pretty heavy moments and throwing some rock shapes. The singer had this strange signing style that's almost rapping at times. The end of set blowout was great, lots of feedback and standing on top of amps...

I'd heard good things about the first season, and was going to catch up on the French/UK version but s2 came on and I just followed that, it wasn't 100% perfect and the last twist was possibly one too many, but I think that overall I enjoyed this more than I even did the Killing.

I have but it didn't do much for me either. But then it's also a matter of my tastes evolving etc. In fact I preferred a couple of tracks off the remix album (the Soft Moon's remix of San Pedro!).

Ah I didn't see the full conversation, but that's definitely the impression I got from Twitter.

I've now given it a couple of listens, the White Manna track is epic! And it's not often I enjoy (or even tolerate) saxophone, but it's extremely well used there.

Clinic and MBV in March, ...Trail of Dead in April. White Hills in April very likely too.
Clinic and Exit Calm have their Glasgow gigs on the same night, so that wasn't the easiest choice :?

Surprised no one is mentioning how it sounds a lot like a reworking of LAGWAFIS. That's the first thing that hit me at the gig. Not my favourite. I always like the idea of Jason revisiting older songs, but taking elements of LAGWAFIS for a bittersweet poppy song is a tiny bit underwhelming in my eyes.
