Does anyone knows the book? And is it a good read? I noticed among several illustre musicians it also discribes the music of Captain Beefheart and - even more intriguing - The Legendary Stardust Cowboy. Should come along with a compilation cd. Is that correct?

That's hard to say. I think Sonic and Jason are operating on different levels. Where Sonics music takes a high flying experimental caracter, Jasons music (especially the last 2 cd's) is more 'commercial'. I really dig both of them musically but I figure that they don't share the same musical horizon...
