As much as I like Andy Bell's guitar work, especially with Ride, to put him in the same league as Jimmy Page is fucking absurd!! :roll: Well, I like both of them almost the same... Word is that Fire lost the master tapes - hence their 180g vinyl reissues rumoured to be taken from a CD. So I'd say it's doubtful. The album that needs reworking is Sound of Confusion which had totally the wrong engineer. Again I'd say that looks unlikely. I like the way Sound of Confusion sounds....

I think they (the Verve) had some moments but they are distinctly average overall. Sure there was a place for them maybe even up too a few years ago (christ I've even championed fad Richard) but now I'm not at all interested. I must disagree with you there. I don't think they are distinctly average...

Don't Take Me In is epic. Much better than the a-side. Buy It In Bottles can be pretty boring.
