Amen to that BZA. That for me is the definitive version of Mr Soul. Like all the best music it blurs the lines of so many styles and takes you somewhere that few songs can. And Johnny Boy fantastic choice, thanks for posting. Roots is one of my favorite albums ever - I always feel sad when that trac...

Pat Thomas was incredible. I was lucky (for him  ) to be sitting almost on his lap as its a smallish venue. Being able to watch a musician like that close up was amazing. He wasn't really playing the keys more coaxing sound out of them. Great big slabs of sound. Kid Millions was on fire. The m...

Wow, what a great recording! Thanks for sharing. It sounds quite different to his normal solo shows doesn't it (not as fragile and delicate), it's really dirty and very reminiscent of Spacemen 3. Looking forward to the show in the 23rd at OTO. Should be a good night.

I think sometimes the magic of Spiritualized is in the fact that it sounds so easy, but thats purely down to the fact that Jason is great song writer. Great music isn't based on how hard stuff is to play. Its based on how it touches you and makes you feel. I think 'I'm your man' is a really great so...

Okay, so I went to this show with mixed feelings. Like JamesT I love the way Kevin bales plays. The old band had a way of locking into a song and, (well you all know) Just making it sound beautiful. Interesting thread. I think I'm firmly in 'they don't owe us anything' camp. For me rock and roll is am art form that defies explanation. You want to set your guitar on fire? Do it!
