Great interview, Laz, thanks. Mark is one of the nicest people I've met, and certainly the most underappreciated talent. I'm glad he realised he was in the best band in the world at the time, because he was, and in no small part due to him.

Personally I don't think an artist's role is to 'care' about their fans. I agree with Modlab, and believe that any artist with true integrity probably has no concept of fans or critics. Unfortunately I didn't get to go myself (I'd already booked a holiday) but I've spoken to my friend who organised it and it was incredible; life-altering.
