Jesus christ that is unbelievable, putting it into perspective the new Pixies thing (5cd/dvd/book/boxset) is around that price, I doubt I can afford it, great as it will be, I never got the 12 cd version first time round, too young to appreciate it, but the 1cd tablet box was fucked in no time so if...

Re: LAGWAFIS

Maybe Spazed99 can confirm the pedigree of Rocket Shaped Song and Beautiful Happiness? Are they completely unreleased or demos of L&G songs that just changed name later? Either way, I reckon it's not too bad a package, although I will be a bit gutted if there's not one totally unreleased track ...

Superb album, one of best of recent years (can only think of The Aliens - Luna better in last few years). Motorbike is a great opener, proper Suicide/Spacemen vibe. The guitar sounds on the whole album are great, the way it just drops out for 5 minutes without sounding over indulgent or boring at an...

Yeah the Jools Holland one was December 2001, I think it works really well with the strings/brass. I was too young to get to see them live then, so I guess the Ladies and Gents show will be a chance to see it proper (ie string section mixed with electric set up). Just gave it another listen, its a good album but not a patch on the first two IMO. Definitely better than Some Cities, which is average.
