Most burning software will burn either discs (-Rs or +Rs) but it does depend on the type of drive you have in your PC/laptop. Modern DVD writers will actually do both, but if your drive will only do one type, then you just need to remember to buy the appropriate ones.

those that use firefox should be able to download the vids from youtube fairly easily. a quick search thru google seems to indicate there is a plug-in for firefox which lets you do this. Also works for google video too supposedly.
