Anyone else listen to the Cocaine & Rhinestones podcast about country music? It's really well done and super informative. I don't know a lot about country music history, so it's been very enjoyable for me. The stories are fascinating.

The remix album is great. I really dig it. If you can score a copy for under $30, go for it. There's an amazing remix of "Cali" by Luke Abbot. Cavern of Anti-Matter's remix of "Lateral Alice" rules. Side B is an ambient suite of "Home Is A Feeling".

Yeah, there was no bassist. The guitarist, DJ and drummer. I seriously couldn't figure out what was going on with the guitarist and eventually decided that he doesn't actually know how to play.

I saw the blurb about the Ten Rapid pressing and I think it actually said, "first time on white vinyl." I questioned it myself and then decided that the label just used the fact that it's on colored vinyl to justify the statement. Pretty stupid.

John Coxon has posted a few photos over the past week of Jason in the studio. It appears that he's still tracking the album. I have a bad feeling the end of the year is the earliest we can expect it. I really feels like its been an eternity at this point.

I've been selling on Discogs and it's been pretty effortless so far. Once you get into a rhythm with it, it's not hard and you get a lot more for your records than you would just dropping them off at a store.

Looks like the CD is already out via the Glass Redux Bandcamp page. I have heard about colored vinyl, though. Maybe it's just bad information. In any case, I probably won't buy it. I have an original vinyl copy and unless it's remastered to be louder and more dynamic, I don't think it's worth paying...

It would strike me as ill-advised for Pierce to do more shows without a new album to promote. Given that they're headlining Primavera, I'm assuming there's an album involved, otherwise I can't really see them being given top billing, but maybe I'm wrong. This is my own speculation, of course.

Man, this new track is great. I haven't been very impressed with anything by Moon Duo or WS over the past five years or so, but this is totally expansive and a new vibe for them. I do think the vocal sounds very Kember-ish, but that's cool with me.

Interesting. I actually like Matador, the second one, better than the first. I listened to the first single from the new one as wasn't blown away, but I'm keeping an open mind because I think Gaz is an excellent songwriter and generally very reliable.

Olan: I bought volumes 1 and 3. Both are superb. There is a copy of volume 2 on Discogs that I have my eye on.

I think the only reissues out there are on the much-derided Plain Recordings. Probably sourced from a cd. However, as Alan mentioned, the originals were riddled with issues and they're crazy expensive. I purchased a black vinyl pressing from Plain and it sounds pretty good to me. I am not an audioph...
