Now playing the Tame Impala record. I like it. It doesn't sound all that different from the last one. The songs all sound a bit the same at first listen, but Innerspeaker had that very same 'problem', which resolved itself nicely after a couple of spins.

I can recommend Beyer Dynamics headphones: detailled sound, good bass. They don't need a headphone amp. I also use 'm for mixing. Maybe worth considering.
But you should really go and listen to a couple of different ones. Trust your ears
