Re: Last five albums/lp's you bought?
The new Jonathan Wilson album was delivered yesterday and it's lovely (baby blue vinyl!). Don't know if anyone here knows who he is, but I know there's some love for Kenny Tudrick round these parts and Jonathan does the same thing: well produced and recorded westcoast folkrock, with a psychedelic twi...

Re: What Are You Listening To Now?
The Engineers eponymous debut in particular was an impressive and very promising album, backed up with solid live shows at generally tiny venues. But I was very disappointed with the follow-up Three Fact Fader - whilst the style and sound was very similar, the songs were nowhere close to those exce...

WAV-files are basically CD-quality audiofiles. You can import them into Itunes and convert them to mp3's or apple lossless (if you want to keep the soundquality)

Saw the Milk Carton Kids yesterday in a little church in my town. Beautiful music: they're a folk duo, just two guitars and two voices blending so pretty it makes one want to weep. And the most dead pan hilarious inbetween song banter that has you laughing out loud. A perfect combination. Go and see...

Not a huge Springsteenfan, but for the casual listener Born to Run is an obvious all time classic. And a good introduction to his work is probably the Live 1975-1985 boxset, which includes tracks form al his albums up to Born in the USA. Really diggin' the new Laura Marling album, don't know if anyone here knows her, but the whole album like a sort of folk symphony, not in instrumentation - it's quite sparse in arrangement - but in the way the tracks are more like movements than individual songs. And the production is lovely too.
