You can get really phenomenal results with good microphones and the built in mics aren't too shoddy either. That was kind of my point. So often CDR's...

Got an email today to say that the LGM reissue is on the way. I'm also expecting Sonic's remix LP to show up any day now.

Re: New Black Angels (Currency)

I've pretty much given up on the Black Angels these days. The last couple of things I bought by them were poor and the glow-in-the-dark Death Song LP was pretty much unplayable. I couldn't tell you when I last played one of their records.

Re: Record Store Day 2021

Yip, the Carlton Melton one for me as well, the Hawkwind - Greasy Truckers Party looks interesting along with the Sisters Of Mercy`s - BBC Sessions, I have this on a scratchy bootleg vinyl from yrs back and a decent upgrade would be worth checking out, but as both of these are double vinyl I can im...

I checked and Loveless is 48 minutes long. kind of the upper limit for vinyl and sound quality right? Very much. Anything over about 19 or 20 minutes to a side and you start to enc...

Re: 2021: what are we looking forward to?

At this stage I'm very much looking forward to a haircut. After that, a slow, steady and careful return to normality (whatever that is) particularly for my kids would be great.

Re: How did you discover your favorite Bands?

Also I don't if this is bad taste on my part, but I don't think I've seen any of these bands on this forum. I've mentioned Led Zeppelin many times here, including in this very thread. I've been a huge fan since the mid 70s and I was lucky enough to attend the reunion in 2007... Still pinch myself t...
