Re: worst song?

I'll have to second the love for Don't Just Do Something (this thread is morphing into a 'favourite songs' one!)- an absolutely momentous piece of work both musically and lyrically. It works on so many levels. I do find Amazing Grace rather enjoyable- it's good for a quick fix and covers most of the...

it's alright but I find it unrewarding when compared to how much praise it receives. couldn't disagree more. I don't think it can be praised highly enough. I played Let It Come Down ....realised how good it is. Agreed. Every now and again I go through a phase of listening to this album over and ove...

Im not sure how I feel about Royal Albert Hall- it's certainly an impressive piece of work- literally though. When I realised just how much overdubbing and post production went into that I enjoy it now more as some ideal Spz gig that exists in Jasons head rather than a document of that tour. It just...

For me it goes: (from best to worst)

1. Ladies & Gents
2. Lazer Guided
3. Let It Come Down
4. A&E
5. Pure Phase
6. Amazing Grace

Nos 1&2 is a photo finish, 3&4 are also very close

Slightly disappointed overall, frankly. Not the bands fault mostly though- Doggen was having gear problems for most of the set (they had to change his amp just before DTY Fiddle, Jason strummed around the intro for a bit then went into the song anyway!), you could hardly hear his guitar lines on WWJ...

Urban Hymns may be the weakest 90s Verve record, but its still an awesome set of songs- the differences in quality between those first three album really are incremental.
