I think it might take Jesus, Buddha etc... to revive his career. That or doing some very, very stripped down songs (with electric shocks anytime he mentions a deity), and letting Nick McCabe produce. The former looks more likely to happen though.

I find it interesting that after years of producing the records himself he's got a producer in. I'm intrigued and will be interested in hearing (if he discusses it at some point) why he's taken this step. My guess? Recording and producing an album at home would drive any sane person back to a studio...
