There was an interview with Robert Carlyle in the Times not long ago (last week?). It claimed that Porno is unlikely to be made; Carlyle would love to play Begbie again but Ewan McGregor isn't too enthusiastic about returning.

My personal favourite is the LAGWAFIS version. I find the harmonica and timpani-heavy live renditions a tad melodramatic. Still good, mind, just not as affecting.

Slightly off-topic, but I recently picked up Ultrasound's 'Everything Picture'
for 3 quid. I was pleasantly surprised. The terrible reaction it got at the time was completely undeserved. There's some really good tracks on it.

'Take Me Away' is an incredible song. Very similar to 'Lord Can You Hear Me', yes, but I reckon it's just as good if not better. I wonder if Sonic wrote it as a kind of tribute to one of his favourite tracks by Jason?
