I know what you mean, on the odd occasion I've seen Spiritualized/Sp3 stuff at record fairs it tends to be overpriced. And then there's that internet site mentioned here a few weeks ago wanting 50 quid for LAGWAFIS...the most amusing 'bargain' I noticed on there was £29.99 for the Complete Works II...

That must have been a pleasant surprise finding that in Oxfam! I can just imagine your eyes nearly popping out of your head when you spotted it. Too right! Some of the new stuff sounds really good, I saw them at a charity gig earlier this week. Stunning set in a tiny venue, with a bowel-shaking 'My Father, My King' to finish. One of the best gigs I've been to in a long time.

My personal favourite is the LAGWAFIS version. I find the harmonica and timpani-heavy live renditions a tad melodramatic. Still good, mind, just not as affecting.

Slightly off-topic, but I recently picked up Ultrasound's 'Everything Picture'
for 3 quid. I was pleasantly surprised. The terrible reaction it got at the time was completely undeserved. There's some really good tracks on it.

'Take Me Away' is an incredible song. Very similar to 'Lord Can You Hear Me', yes, but I reckon it's just as good if not better. I wonder if Sonic wrote it as a kind of tribute to one of his favourite tracks by Jason?
