Re: You know its goin slow but it's comin your way

MH, was that guy who got up on stage the same dude who was pogo-ing for ages? Apart from his head I'd say his calves were killing him this morning...Was he just drunk or was he on something else?

I resisted going out for a ciggie break cos unfortunately it would only have been just a ciggie...

Re: You know its goin slow but it's comin your way

I enjoyed the gig and always think they are value for money but I have never liked his re-workings of S3 songs. Lord Can You Hear Me is a travesty, as it was on LICD. Totally overdone and loses everything without the minimal sound of the original. Same with So Hot (Wash Away All Of My Tears) on Pure...

Re: You know its goin slow but it's comin your way

Highlights for me were Let It Flow and Take Your Time.

Sound is good at this venue, that's when I could hear it over the tw-ats talking non-stop near the bar, why do they bother coming if they're gonna talk right through it.

Re: May shows

Ticket in the bag, total €25 which I'm pretty happy about, especially as I'm over to Manchester to see MBV a month later. I think the last time I saw them in Dublin the price was very reasonable too. With regard to 'refreshments' there's plenty of places to partake around the venue, just keep your...

'new' VU song

This is super... http://sendmedeadflowers.com/2008/02/velve...-gymnasium.html It's the ONLY available live stuff from 1967 and has only become available in literally the last two days. Recorded just after the release of The Velvet Underground And Nico and featuring the debut performance of Sister Ra...

I have very little interest in it really. It just seems like an opportunity for a thug-fest every year. I know both sides were guilty but some of the assaults by the Aussies bordered on ABH. From the reaction in Ireland I'd say that's the end of it, nobody has an appetite for that level of violence ...

...and i sincerely hope he doesn't make another mess of a Spacemen 3 song... which spacemen 3 songs has he made a mess off so far? IMO 'So hot, wash away all of my tears' was way way too overblown, much preferred the more intense and stripped down sound on PWF....'Lord Can you hear me?' is a bit be...

I couldn't split them to be honest, probably my favoutite S3 album of all of them and also I think Jason's best work of all. No Spiritualized album tops his work on Recurring IMO.
