Re: Last five albums/lp's you bought?

Neil Young Live At The Bluenote 1988 tour 2xCD. His 80's stuff was meant to be played live apparently. Wow! You are so right! I was fortunate enough to see several of his shows from 1986-1988, and he was fantastic! Whether in a tiny "Fire-Trap-Club" or a larger, (but still not too large a...

This image of a German 2-LP ROIO of a Concert from 1981 is my favorite "bootleg" of Kraftwerk. The pressings are quite good, the discs are very heavy, and the vinyl of high quality, especially for a ROIO; the "sound" is all there. I bought this in January of 1982, from one of my ...

Re: How Fortunately History may be Observed over Time w/ Mus

There are, quite often, recordings and artists that I enjoy (in varying degrees), but appreciate nevertheless, that are now far removed in Time. Many of my "favorite" recordings are pre-1917; many things changed here, with our entrance into WWI, so I find 1917 a convenient date for a numbe...

Re: relative records

I understand your sadness, for I have lost almost everyone who I loved beyond words; my family, friends of 40 years and more. It is a good thing I remember Happy Thoughts easily, for I grieve TOO well. I suppose am very sentimental. Since Music has long been such an important part of my life, almost...

Re: T-Rex

Another of my favorite musicians; there are still many "odds and ends" of various recordings on the list of what I would like to obtain; but it is all so very good for one reason or another. When I saw this thread, it brought back so many happy memories of Weekend Listening Time ; so many ...

Re: Copyright query

I was lead to believe that the venue does have some credits to the recording if released commercially or broadcast publicly. I once pre-ordered an official download of a Black Crowes gig in the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam I attended, but never actually got it, cause TBC couldn't get permission...

Re: Copyright query

I cannot imagine why the owner/owners of a building should have their hands out, but much of the law makes no sense to me, & that is why I have an attorney. If the building were Sold, would new owners have any right to what happened before they had any involvement or "property" claim? ...

Re: Earworm 7" on orange wax

I have it in my accessible box near the turn table and i love not remembering which version is gonna come through after i drop the needle. * lackluster It IS a hassle o...

Re: RIP Dieter Moebius

So sad to see this; I have enjoyed every recording I have that has Moebius on the Jacket, label, or is known to be on the LP "someplace". Eno and Moebius and those other names one associates with them is now sadly not quite complete anymore. Olan is quite right; the era and years of such g...

Re: US postal service

you have to watch out because it gets pricey by weight and distance with Priority. For instance E Coast to W Coast or vice versa gets expensive. Dave is correct. If it is a valuable record ship Priority mainly for the insurance. I am pretty sure is it $100 insurance with Priority. I ship 50+ LP's a...
