As far as i know, it will work because most DVD players don't recognize the region code anyway. Or you can look into the manual how to disable it.

yes, its a chat root for the site. Im sure its not working 100% pefect, so i was a bit slow with announcing it.
You can try if its working, its a Java-based IRC client (so you may have to allow its executiion). If not just wirte down the error message here.
