An excellent thread idea James... My tastes have mellowed quite a bit in the last decade. I'm more drawn to sounds like these links James has posted these days - these are both unfamiliar to me and sound nice. Sunny American music, particularly a lot of hippyish southern sounds, tends to be the soun...

New Rose City Band tunes are sounding great. A neat country rock angle is noticeable here, with the 2nd tune tipping a hat to the Grateful Dead's classic 'Cumberland Blues'. But Ripley is something of a Deadhead so perhaps not too surprising.

Re: corona-era check in corner
Good luck to you and your missus James. I hope it's not a bad case - maybe even just something else with any luck. I have nothing but glowing admiration for anyone in the NHS at any level, but particularly front line. I know there are a few on this board involved. Hats off to them all.

Re: What Are You Listening To Now?
Grateful Dead - June 1976 Boxset Is that the new monstrous CD release with masses of shows? Looked fantastic. I subscribe to the 'Dave's Picks' series which is very rewarding. Until yesterday's Spacemen session I've been on a '71 Dead binge. Love Pigpen's contribution on a lot of those shows. Hard ...

I love that album but the communal appreciation made it sound even better. I ended up playing a shit load of ...
