I didn't buy the live Glitter & Doom LP, but I will probably get the new studio album, which I'm assuming is coming sometime before the end of the year, since he just unleashed this single, which is pretty fantastic:

Man, The Waits Industry doesn't hang about does it. Was well looking forward to it. Was it some rawkus thing?

A few weeks back I picked up Brawlers, Bawlers and Bastards box, which I've meaning to get for a while, for the princely sum of three pounds from Fopp.

That and a bunch of other stuff that appeared to be ex-HMV stock. Pretty amazing, and only gotten through the first disc so far...

I never heard the live record either, although I know someone who saw him in Edinburgh and by all account was pretty spectacular - not sure if the legend that is Waits can justify those ticket prices though. It wasn't exactly a three hour epic show either!

Still... gotta love Tom Waits.

Crap. It was pretty rawkus and would have easily fit on the first disc of Orphans, a set which I absolutely adore and you seem to be enjoying, too. I think it's supposed to debut sometime today on Waits' website, so I'm sure it will be available to stream again, soon.

I've just listened to the new album streaming on NPR.
Chicago and Hell Broke Luce are brilliant. I'm pretty sure Marc Ribot plays on both tracks.
And the rest are the same old Tom. I think Satisfied sounds very much like Big Black Mariah.
I'm looking forward to getting my copy.

I listened to the first three tracks this morning and was blown away. Can't wait to dig into the rest of it, especially "Hell Broke Luce," since everyone says that track is so great.

Listened to the new album at my dads place the other day and absolutely loved it. Tom Waits very few other things me and the old man agree on.

Hope the rumours of a tour next year are true.
