New album title!

Post by moop »

OK, so I don't really know the title... (sorry!)

But I figured that now we've all heard the new album live/in bootleg form it might be fun to see what we think it might be called, or what might constitute an awesome title for said album. Who knows, given the slight discrepancies in track names, it's possible the album title is still in a liquid state, and jason is lurking on this forum just waiting for someone to say 'why doesnt he call the new album 'I have no desire whatsoever to desecrate the grave of seminal Rugby rock group Spacemen 3'. Maybe that's why it was pushed back to next year? Maybe by coming up with the perfect album title it'll actually see the light of day by xmas? Sorry, way too much coffee this evening!

I asked Kev Bales about it after the Edinburgh gig and he said there is none yet. He then said, "if I did know, I wouldn't tell you."

Interesting. It's due in March, but the artwork hasn't been started? Seems odd given the amount of lead time needed for promotion.

odd indeed. i was joking before, but that actually would explain the delay. out of interest, what colour(s) does the album evoke for you?

that comment by kev bales made me laugh. kinda harsh! did you happen to spill your drink on him just before asking? :x

A prompt retort of "Always liked Johnny Mattock better as the drummer..." would have been funny...

really washed out purple and pink <-- but with a lot of grey in there.. as if the rooftop scenes in the movie spirited away was painted in aquarelle and then soaked by north sea acid rain.. but I´ve only heard a few songs..

i think the new album sounds baroque, like a church, its grey and austere but with flashes of stained glass colour.. grand but inviting..
pretentious,moi?

I've always thought 'Life Is A Problem' would be a cool title, whether that song ends up being called that or not

If Partridge was contributing to this thread, he'd definitely suggest 'Needles to Say, I had the Last Laugh"

I'll go with "Radio transmissions".

A lot of 'radios' in the new songs: Hey Jane, Life is a problem, So Long/Dio Ce.
I think we have a new buzzword :)
