Gnod: Chaudelande Volume 1
Has anyone heard this yet? InGnodWeTrust was a heavy, heavy record. I am looking forward to hearing this one.
The brand new Gnod album ‘Chaudelande Volume 1’ is out now on Tamed Records. The LP consists of three studio tracks recorded in April of this year at Studio Chaudelande, France - Tron, Visions Of Load and The Vertical Dead.
Those who have seen our recent live sets may be familiar with Tron and Visions Of Load. This is the first time they have been given the full studio treatment and we are very pleased with the results with Tron being the pounding mechanical noise nightmare that it should be and Visions Of Load flirting with the idea of being, almost, an accessible pop/dance track.
The Vertical Dead is an improvised jam captured late one night in the studio. Starting off slowly, gathering atmosphere, building momentum before soaring off into space, getting sucked into a black hole, exploding, raining debris back down onto the earth - it takes up the whole of the B side.
500 copies printed on white vinyl with full colour sleeves.

They played a preview of Visions Of Load on The Anything Goes Breakfast Show. It's around the 1:09 mark on this:

I'm surprised there hasn't been talk about this. It's fucking amazing. Ingnodwetrust was cool, but this is Gnod really tapping into a vein. RECOMMENDED!!!
Re: Gnod: Chaudelande Volume 1
Gave it a spin today, possibly the best thing Gnod have done, they seem to be getting more consistent. Either that or their quality control has been considerably tightened up in regard to what they release.

Only place to get it is the record label website which is in France. Cost including postage is around £15 to the UK, not bad and definitely worth every penny!!

Re: Gnod: Chaudelande Volume 1
I've only really got into Gnod this year, which is a shame as I've really missed out. Everything I've bought so far has been amazing. Thought In Gnod we trust was truly incredible. Heavy.

I think 'Chaudelande Vol 1' is even heavier than "In Gnod We Trust'.They Transmit wrote:I've only really got into Gnod this year, which is a shame as I've really missed out. Everything I've bought so far has been amazing. Thought In Gnod we trust was truly incredible. Heavy.

A good argument for getting getting my record playing from the UK. I bought the White Hills/Gnod record the other day and am really getting into it!
