If it's like anything from the past, they'll announce that it's been postponed.

So J. is going to announce a new triple-album tomorrow that comes in a superdeluxe vinyl box set for $19.99 U.S.?

I've waited years for this!

Looks like new dates at Nottingham and Portsmouth (not bad for me on a Sat night) along with the show at Hackney that Sighs has already pointed out. Do we think thats it? I like the way we're chasing the info as always. :x

"When you make a record, it has to be the single most important thing in your world. This time around, I wanted to do something that encompassed all I love in rock ‘n’ roll music. It’s got everything from Brötzmann and Berry right through to Dennis and Brian Wilson. I’m obsessed with music and the way you put it together and I don’t believe there are any rules.”

So says J. Spaceman, commenting on the recording of his new album, “Sweet Heart Sweet Light,” which is due for release on Double Six March 19th.

Recorded over the past two years in Wales, LA and Reykjavik, and mixed for a year in the confines of his own home, “Sweet Heart Sweet Light” will unbelievably be Spiritualized’s seventh studio album and it promises to be one of the most eagerly anticipated releases of 2012. An inspiration and revelation to many well-known musicians, most recently the likes of Alex Turner, Elbow and Florence The Machine; Spiritualized continue to engage and impress musicians and fans alike. Taking musical risks is a hallmark of Spiritualized’s outlook. Witness them playing the new album unannounced, from start to finish, live at the Royal Albert Hall recently – something unheard of in today’s clamour for instant hit gratification. As J.Spacemen says ‘I don’t believe there are any rules’ and this album will testify to that.

The band have also revealed the track listing for the new album and have confirmed three more shows including London’s Hackney Empire on their forthcoming March tour.

Track listing for “Sweet Heart Sweet Light” is as follows:

Hey Jane

Little Girl

Get What You

Too Late

Heading For The Top

Freedom

I Am What I Am

Mary

Life Is A Problem

So Long You Pretty Things

New dates are:

Friday 16th March Nottingham, Rescue Rooms (10pm curfew)

Saturday 17th March Portsmouth, Wedgewood Rooms

Monday 19th March London, Hackney Empire

Previously announced shows:

Tuesday 20th March Oxford, Academy

Wednesday 21st March Bristol, Academy (re-scheduled)

Thursday 22nd March Glasgow, ABC

Friday 23rd March Belfast, Mandela Hall

Saturday 24th March Dublin, Vicar Street (re-scheduled)

Sunday 25th March Manchester, Academy (re-scheduled)

from my perspective it's a shame they chose this over somewhere in brighton.

Surely the correct title is "Get What You Deserve" not "Get What You" ... I hope.

Heres the interview, about 15 mins long. Mostly the same as the Ireland one a few days ago.

Hope this works...

Wasn't this quote used for A&E? :? Seems very familiar.

what part? the thing about rock´n´roll or the mentioning of peter, chuck and the wilsons?

definitely not the exact quote for A+E.. but I think the bits about his general modus operandi has been mentioned in interviews many times during the nineties and the noughties..

no that was about the guitar, this time it will be about 'pop' and 'working at home'

thanks for doing that simon!! i was going to record the interview but when I got home it had already happened and I turned the radio to the studio version of ladies and gents being played.. :(

yep, it seems as usual Jason has prepared a few soundbites about how he made this album, what he was trying to do etc.. and is repeating them in every interview he does- no matter what question they ask.. he should be a politician :)

thanks..

only got 6 mins though.. is it the same for everyone?

sometimes a compressed file with a data break wont play properly all the way through if using a player the file is not intended for..
and I´m against having apples up my butt so I used foobar2000 and vindauge to play it. Does it play 15 mins on macinposh?
