SPC ECO, completely blew me away !

Post by norrin radd »

I met up with a mate at a gig on fri night, didn't know who was playing, turns out it was that dude out of curve Dean and his new band spc eco, completely blew me away, totally unexpected, great quality shoe gazery droneage with liz frazer styley girly whispery vocals, heres a link to their site, you can listen to the tunes, check it out, and check them live if you get the chance, the sound is fucking massive

I actually bought their first EP when it came out. I too am a huge fan of pretty much anything Dean Garcia/Curve/Toni Halliday. It kinda lost it for me when I thought more on "this is Dean Garcia and his daughter." I love the man, I've seen Curve like four times but, come on! With your daughter? There's gotta be somebody out there in your age group you could hook up with!

meh, so what, i didn't know it was his daughter, who gives a shit if she's his daughter or his missus or his granny ? It's still great music and if She's into it and has a great voice, why not ? ( i wouldn't have brought this into it, but seen as the topic has reared it's head, Rose is pretty fine as well  )

I don't give a fuck about the politics of the line up, I'm here for the tunes mate

Totally worth 5 quid! I agree with Norrin on this one. Who cares, especially if she wants to do it.

Quite a highlight already for 2012.

Thanks again!

Loved Curve so will def give this a good listen.

Seems that other ex-members of Curve (at least from their live incarnation) are listed as contributors on the SPC ECO website - Debbie Smith and Monti.

Err, I assume that is not Luna as in Pup Tent, not in Stoke Newington. Surely they would play Penge as the first stop in any comeback tour?

Or maybe not....
