Dont really care much about the brit Awards but I found this clip of Blur and the second comment nearly made me spit my coffee out.

Why is there a Giant Kebab in the back? Is it for Adele?

Round them all up and execute them all... making sure Cunt Martin is killed last and suffers a particularly brutal and painful death...

I feel bad for Adele... the Mastercard British Album of the Year isn't as prestigious as the Visa English Record of the Last 12 Months.

An obvious point of course, but the 'Brit' Awards has NOTHING to do with the quality of music, the spirit of youth and rock and roll or any of those things - it's just a huge round of schmoozy, cocaine-blown backslapping for who and whatever 'shifted' the most 'units' in the last year. So of course fucking Adele was gonna win most of it. Was PJ Harvey even mentioned? And what's this nonsense about the truly despicable Foo Fighters with 'Best Breakthrough Act'... wasn't that 1995? Ah, here's Noel and Blur (who do themselves no favours at all attending this bullshit - 'Lifetime Drugtaking Award' or not) - mid-nineties are clearly where it's at!

James Corden. This is where we are now...

I'm with Laz on this one - maybe bring back Drummond and Cauty but leave the blanks at home...

(In saying all that I didn't actually watch this garbage you understand. But the supposed 'highlights' witnessed this morning at work brought the red mist down a tad early I must say...)

I had no idea they even still had Brit awards until this morning 'cuz Adele flipped off someone. Then I heard the guy on stage say "once again Blur". So I googled Blur and then I saw that comment which still makes me laugh 10 hours later.
I do like Tender by Blur and I saw they did that live. Not a huge fan. At least they didn't turn into to assholes that Oasis did. Media wise anyway since I dont know them personally ya know.

Why is it that the Foo Fighters seem to be at or win all these corporate awards? It is as if the organizers want some kind of edginess and a bit of rock and roll and the people who award these things always say "lets get the Foo Fighters".

Yawn!

as bad as the grammys but with a dollop of weird national/defensive pride thrown in. yawn. results in nme and its commenters writing "epic" and "legend" a lot, i guess, as everyone pretends to get a hard-on about it.

...and, anyway, shouldn't the nme be saving up its jizz for the sure-to-be-boring and who-gives-a-shit STONE ROSES REUNION this summer??? good fucking gravy, now that that horrible band has cashed in and reunited, what reason does the british music press have to continue existing? pete doherty? that lady who wears the gowns and poses while she sings (florence?)?
