Life is a problem

Intro ( Huh ? )
Is Jason whistling here??? Man, he is really getting old, isn`t he ?
Little girl
Didn´t Jason say there is a fine line between a great song and a disappointing one ? Well, what I am missing is ... reverb. Yes, I think there no reverb on this record, the songs are too "dry". That`s why I don`t like the ballads and prefer songs like Cool Waves or All of my Tears.
Get what you deserve
Good, very good, especially the freak out at the end. Could even be more extreme, but I really enjoy it.
Heading for the top now
TZhere are Spz records where I prefer the slow songs and albums where I prefer the rock songs. This time, I clearly enjoy the rock songs, they are very good. This is another fine example. It`s on heavy rotation.
I am what I am
Ahhh, is anybody else missing the vox/farfisa drones ? We get the piano instead Anyway, it`s a great song, would be my second single if there ever is one, or could be much longer if it wasn`t. More drones would have been fine.
Life is a problem
I am really tired of the Jesus and Lord lyrics now. The beginning is nice, but then we get what we already know.
So long you pretty thing
Baby laughter ? Whistling elsewhere ? Well... anyway, it contains the funniest lyric of the album after all. "...past the scary Jesus" lol !!

awesome!
“You're not Dostoevsky,' said the citizeness
'Well, who knows, who knows,' he replied.
'Dostoevsky's dead,' said the citizeness, but somehow not very confidently.
'I protest!' Behemoth exclaimed hotly. 'Dostoevsky is immortal!”

The Piano's Been Drinking
Re: So long you pretty thing
That lyric was written by his daughter. I think her lyrics are my favorite on the album:Wah - Wah wrote:Baby laughter ? Whistling elsewhere ? Well... anyway, it contains the funniest lyric of the album after all. "...past the scary Jesus" lol !!
There's plenty of good lyrics in this album, but I like the simplicity and sweetness of Poppy's lyrics most.Poppy wrote:If you feel lonely and the world's against you take the long road home past the scary Jesus and you will find my door with your name in diamonds and you will feel lonely no more
