efterklang

went to see Efterklang with the Northern Sinfonia at the Warwick Arts Centre last night.

John Grant (Tsars) was in support.

Pretty good all round - Spiritualized play the same venue next Sunday - and the set up reminded me of Spiritualized in their full orchestra ensemble mode.
Venue is great for sound and sightlines.

Efterklang reminded me, at various points, of Sigur Ros, Talk Talk & David Byrne.
Feel like I'm damning them with faint praise, but the songs were good, even if the vocals were a bit 80s-y.
The orchestral arrangements were brilliant though.
Oh, and Budgie was on drums.

Still haven't decided if I'm going to go to Spiritualized yet... shocking, I know.
