Perfect Miracle
So poppy. So sweet. So bitter. So simple. Love it.

Re: Perfect Miracle
I like this song a lot, too, but I suspect it's probably divisive around these parts. Wonder how long it'll be before we get to hear a studio version. A non-album single or a stand-alone EP would be really interesting.

Re: Perfect Miracle
I like it but I don't love it.
the bitter pay off in the lyrics (which I've only realised since listening to the bootlegs) gives it another dimension, and it's got a compact and warm poppy feel.
the backing singers are used differently than usual too- more Motown pop than gospel.
but I prefer A song

I love this track soooo much! You think oh my god these lyrics are so sugary and then you get the verses and they're a total contrast. Really great track.
If anyone figures the chords to this please post them u for me

Re: Perfect Miracle
Is it just me, or does 'Perfect Miracle' give more than a nod to 'Mr Bojangles' by Sammy Davis Jnr.?

Re: Perfect Miracle
It's easy (for me) to imagine this song being a hit for modern young over-produced pop star.
I things the lyrics are great, but everytime I hear it in my head (and it was an earworm for a day after the Cov gig) I keep veering into Borrowed Your Gun:
"My mind is a mess
And I've changed my address
... Run out of bullets again"

Surprised no one is mentioning how it sounds a lot like a reworking of LAGWAFIS. That's the first thing that hit me at the gig.
Not my favourite. I always like the idea of Jason revisiting older songs, but taking elements of LAGWAFIS for a bittersweet poppy song is a tiny bit underwhelming in my eyes.
