Dock Ellis Records

Post by spzretent »

Just a heads up to those of you who may have an interest.
Runcible and I(with a major contribution from the message board's very own Redcloud) have started a record label called Dock Ellis Records. The name is an homage to a 1970's baseball pitcher for the Pittsburgh Pirates who pitched a no hitter while tripping on LSD. For more on this monumental feat click here; http://www.time.com/time/arts/article/0 ... 50,00.html
We already have several tasty things lined up. First in early February we have an Asteroid #4 six track mini lp. Colored vinyl with cool insert and download card. After that, since nothing is finalized, we cant really say but it will be of interest to those who lurk here, post here, live here.
Reason for this heads up is without this message board this never would have happened.
These will all be limited vinyl releases. Not so limited that those who want them will be left out. Asteroid #4 is a pressing of 500. Also available on both sides of the Atlantic.
We are mulling over some limited distribution for hard to find records as well. For instance things that never make it to the US like Great Pop Supplement releases, Hookworms 12"s, Aliens LPs and vice versa.
Right now no web site but we do have a facebook page.
http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/pag ... 7771406916
We are having fun with it. Including a clip(or two) of the day.
We hope you like it

US Dock Ellis Records Distribution shop open with lots of already deleted titles. Mainly harder to find UK issued releases with domestic(US) shipping rates. Coming in late March a limited amount of Hookworms LPs and long out of print 12"s among other things.

Asteroid No.4- The Windmill Of The Setting Sun 6 track mini LP looking like a March release. Lets call it a Spring 2013 release.
Clear vinyl.
Limited to 500 worldwide.

It took a long time. Rejected test pressings(labels fault), unforseen delays, it was worth the wait. Its a beauty. Everything turned out perfectly. Covers, labels, inserts. Very pleased.
