Mojo Filters: I just bought Third Eye Centre and have been listening to it. I think it's a fantastic release. The remix of "Your Cover's Blown" is great and actually not too different from the original. There is some wonderful new, thick synth on it. I also like the Avalanches' remix of "I'm A Cuckoo" a lot.

Does anyone know when the Factory Floor LP is out? I look on Google and get lots of links for laminate flooring installation experts.

Also, the new Fuck Buttons lp - any views?

PREORDER ITEM, SHIPS EARLY OCTOBER. Preordering the record from us will get you a digital copy in your inbox on September 9th.

Yeah, yeah, I know, you've been waiting forever for this. Well, it's almost here. Here's the details:

Factory Floor's Debut LP comes in a US-exclusive pink jacket with a diecut FF logo, and orders from DFA Direct will come on limited edition light pink vinyl.

The CD comes in a custom US-exclusive square 4-panel digipak. These came out super nice, if I may say so myself.

Ordering a physical format gets you a bonus limited edition pink enamel 1.5" Factory Floor logo badge. It's an edition of 100, while supplies last.

Your physical order gets you your choice of and MP3 or WAV download, which I will personally send out at midnight EST on September 9th.

Looking forward to the new Dean Wareham mini album which is due out very soon. Got the 7" from Sonic Cathedral, and it's great. Good cover of a Cheval Sombre track on the b-side. Gig at St Pancras church later in the year too - fab!

my No.1 for 2013 so far (wooden shjips might knock it off the top spot)
the album arrived in no time aswell which was nice

The Greek Theatre
Lost at Sea

"it's something of an understated masterpiece, a record with forebears in albums like Gene Clark's solo debut and David Crosby and Graham Nash's early solo albums - overshadowed albums that will never be as famous as they deserve to be but are nonetheless cherished by those with a more adventurous disposition. Maybe not everybody's cup of tea - a blast from the past - but Leggy Mambo is still one of my fav albums and Purple Love Balloon once of fav singles, Cud are releasing a new single next month. Haven't heard it, waiting til I receive the 7" - hope they record a new album after this. 2013 is turning into an excellent year for both new and old music!

I would definitely put the Holydrug Couple's Noctuary on my favorites list even though I have only just come across it this past week or two.

So, all the major indies over here (Picadilly http://www.piccadillyrecords.com/shop/f ... eature=720, Norman http://www.normanrecords.com/top-fifty-2013.php and Brighton's own Resident http://www.resident-music.com/home) have now got their end of year best-of lists together so I guess it must be almost time that we on here started to compile our own. I usually wait till after the Christmas period as I normally pick up quite a lot of new music with gift vouchers. Resident records have given top spot to Mathew E White and I'm sure I've seen some praise for him on the forum, including a big-up from BZA. Haven't picked it up yet but I'm hoping to get it, along with the Jonathan Wilson album for Christmas. Generally, I think it's been another pretty good year for new releases.

I bought the Matthew E. White album and after continued listens still not sure. However the Hookworms was an instant classic and I can fully imagine in years to come they will get the same eulogies that SP3 quite rightly get now. Not to say the eulogies haven't been happening for years and nobody has been listening!!

The Year of the Hookworm - works for me.
