Well, what can you say? This truly is a delightful package. Beautiful clear vinyl, a center label with a spinning/spiraling baseball, a baseball card inspired insert with liner notes as "baseball stats" all housed in Carlos Bonilla's fabulous cover art. Inside its grooves you have six lovely songs that flirt between A#4's brand of country/folk psych, spacey experimental instrumentals, and droning psych. I love the title track but 'Dead Blues' is, for me, the absolute stand out tune. Man, what a corker! It has a vibe that is reminiscent of 'When Tomorrow Hits' but is more full on reefer with a killer bass line (yet, unlike WTH it never freaks out...it just rolls).

I also really love that they included a beautiful cover of Ron Elliott's 'All Time Green' and how it emerges seamlessly out of the spacey 'Winter 1918'. Elliot was a key member of the Beau Brummels who cut an absolutely brilliant solo LP, "The Candlestickmaker" in 1970, which included the original version of 'All Time Green'. For those who love crisp, flowing, fluid west coast acid country/folk psych, Elliott's LP comes with my highest recommendation!

Have to say that I love the band's choice of song order too. One side is song based while the other is more experimental only to be brought full circle by their amazing cover of 'All Time Green'.

Thumbs up all around, guys!

Just got back from UPS. LPs are on their way to the UK. Fingers crossed i filled out every nook and cranny on the UPS forms. Holy shit what a pain in the ass. The only saving grace was how fantastic the folks at my local UPS store were. They took the ball and ran with it. Even with my anal attempts at making sure the records were sent the way they were supposed to be.
Having said all that, looking at the record, its so worth it.

Got mine today. Really nice package. Huge props for including a download code ... an essential element of the vinyl experience these days, IMO. That may sound a little illogical, but I've said it before: no one has a turntable in their car (except for John Lennon). Thanks, Alan & Mark. Will report back on the grooves soon.

This is a fantastic, high quality release in terms of packaging and sound. And nice touch with the baseball card insert, THAT was unexpected and a brought a big smile. I will purchase all future releases as I do with Cardinal Fuzz. I'm grateful for the time and effort that Alan, Mark and Dave put into their labels and releases out of a shear love of music. Offering $$$ support is the easy part.

Well done and a big cheers.
I think I feel it coming on

Sorry for delay in posting this as this actually arrived last week. Really love the whole product; the packaging, the clear vinyl, the baseball card insert. Although I'd never heard Asteroid #4 before, I was never in doubt of the quality bearing in mind the impeccable tastes of the guys involved. After hearing the first track I was expecting an album of psych/drone so was quite surprised to hear it veer more towards a more alt-country (?) kinda feel. I love it and I'm eagerly anticipating future releases. Well done chaps 8)
