The best (dutch) band in the world, that just got together again.

Here's the original version, I seriously recommend that album, Daryll-Ann Weeps, check it out, you won't be disapointed:

The album ("Corridor of Faces") is brilliant. Originals being nigh impossible to find (or afford) but it has been reissued including a recent one by Jackpot Records here in Portland.
I hear tell Jackpot is now releasing the demos for CoF, along with " two songs originally recorded to acetate in 1966 by pre-Lazy Smoke project: The Road Runners. "

Maybe this should be in the Guilty Pleasures thread…

Most of my mates are huge Paul Weller fans but I have to say that I can take or leave anything he did after The Jam. I don’t even rate The Jam that highly although they were a really strong singles band IMO.

Love this though!

Blimey, I never realised that song was by The Prodigy  What an excellent song to a really entertaining show though. Only managed to catch the motorbike and skeleton episodes but thoroughly enjoyable. Understatement of the year I know but Guy Martin is fucking bonkers!

Totally cheesy wonderfulness:

Love Unlimited,
"Walking In The Rain With The One I Love"

Search it out, worth your time!

Not sure how this is related to the Barry White version. All I know is it's just fabulous.

Oregon is getting hammered! Friends in Seattle say they escaped it. We have about a foot of snow outside and it has now switched to freezing rain. The biggest snow storm since 2008. Spzretent has had a nightmare winter but, as this is relatively rare weather for us it is a very welcome treat (and it is very beautiful).

Where do you live?

We're about 30 miles east of Seattle in the Cascade foothills. At 1000 feet above sea level we usually endure lots of snow. This year has been a non-event thus far.
Be safe!

Nice! We're essentially neighbors then.

Haven't driven the car since yesterday. No need to. Have chosen to go on many lovely dog walks instead. Monday might prove interesting though. I will need to shovel - a lot - just to get out of our driveway!

Btw, I like that Tom Rush tune.

Yeah, but Joni's original version is better (no surprise). That Circle Game album is a good one for sitting by the fire. Cheers!

I wish Ted Nugent would just let his guitar speak for him. The Amboy's were one of the great Detroit bands and Ted's guitar was the driving force. Love this one.

That's pretty good that, `doomy` but not too serious, that's the actress Maxine Peake on vocals, might check the album out, videos quite groovy as well...

This is hypnotic, dazzling and really quite over powering the way it continues to build, adding more until you can hardly get your head round how much is going on, takes a few listens ,but...

Grand Funk were one of my favorite bands when I was a kid. Their first four studio albums + the Live album were constantly being played in my bedroom as well as early Aerosmith, early KISS and UFO. I still have the tatty poster that came with "Live" album hanging up next to my records. I think it has been on every wall I have lived in since I was about 8 years old.

Cheers to Jack White who inspired me to dust down my GFR albums. This video says it all about how big this band were and the vibe of early 70's rock. I love the kids at 1'18! This was also one of my fave songs when I was a kid. Fond memories.

I found this yesterday after watching Runci's video... reminds me a lot of Sterling Roswell's album and Richard Formby's Triumph 2000 album (can't find a link to any of the Triumph 2000 tracks online except for some samples HERE)

I edited your post Shonn and made it prettier - hope that's OK. Use the YouTube button to the top middle of the text entry box and only insert the code after the 'v=' bit from the YouTube URL. Easy!

But yes - a brilliant video and track by Juan Trip'. I have been absorbing 2 of his albums for 4 days solid now. Fantastic stuff!
