link to pre-order Michael Heads latest project ,who have a 7 track ep coming out , vinyl version seems to be sold out already , as taster the live tunes on Youtube sound excellent , putting to bed the fears about his health and what not at least for a while , what this means for Shack ,who knows , but its good news anyway,

Totally adore Shack and pretty much Michael Head has done. American Kid sounds like a decent effort. Going to listen a little more soon. Thanks for the post!

Just bumping this up as the wonderful Magical World of The Strands is due to be reissued shortly, both on CD and vinyl.

But the really cool part is this:
https://www.normanrecords.com/records/1 ... lde-world-

This sounds really fantastic, particularly if you listen to the tune Norman highlight here - a full version of 'It's Harvest Time' - which is absolutely sublime.

What's more Michael is planning to tour the Strands album which fills me with childlike excitement. The show I saw him play last year is easily one of the most remarkable live music experiences of my entire life, and the idea of a full Strands show is really amazing.

Oh, and for any Shack fans there is a free download of a 1988 show from Paris on their Facebook page. The versions being shared previously were at the wrong speed, but they have sorted it now. Sounds good too. Here:

Autobiography and new album on the way: https://www.michaelheadofficial.com/

I've not got on board with his music but i'd certainly be interested in the book.

Saw him live last year... brilliant night.

Some very OTT fawning behaviour from a few attendees...wittily dealt with by MH.

On 2 occasions i travelled to the UK from Western Australia at Christmas, and luckily enough for me i saw them play at The Invisible Wind Factory in Liverpool. I never thought i see him live once let alone twice, but ye Gods were smiling...

The drive to and from Keighley/Liverpool was nothing less than spectacular in the middle of the night with that fog, thanks to directions scrawled on the back of a beer mat i lived to do it all again a few years later... Ah, the memories...

Every album is a gift and this will be no different - as will be the book, :D , enjoy the day people...!

Just curious, how come you are interested in the book if you don't dig the music so much? An eventful life i guess? Certainly won't be dull

Yep, an eventful life. I read a lot of music biogs whether i'm into the artist or not. I just enjoy a good tale. For example, i recently read and enjoyed autobiographies by Tracey Thorn and Louise Wener yet i have little interest in EBTG or Sleeper.

okay makes sense. I am a bit more like that but with rock docs. I'll watch a good documentary about most bands.

I'm the same with music docs too. Sometimes i feel like i spend more time reading and watching things about music than actually listening to any!
