J.Spaceman/ Kid Millions LP for RSD

Post by niamhm »

Jason seems to be positively humming with activity for this years RSD , I suspect this might be a slightly more `challenging` listen than the other release he`s involved with , depending on your point of view...

I'll prepare for another skinning on eBay then as there's no way I'll get to a store on RSD.
It's nice to be liked,
But it's better by far to get paid.

Nice! Im going to try and pick that up, saw them play at the Oto and it was a good night - the Kid was one fire. Love the sleeve art too, reminds me Fly by yoko ono or frank zappa apostrophe.

Here is some of the improvised set they performed at NY's Le Poisson Rouge. This makes up some of the RSD release:

I like this, it's one you have to properly listen to but, it kept me interested. I'm liking this new work Spaceman is putting out, I think it bodes well for the new Spz album.

I'll be getting up at 5am to get in the queue for this, Space Project and the Grant Hart DVD. Can't bloody wait!!!
and through wax seals and padlocks...a hand through my ribcage...past the choking I saw palms and fingers grasping shoulders...collarbone...crushing...I imagined myself hacking desperately at a sea of appendages...freeing myself like a butcher...

I tried queuing for record store day in the past...at least two hours before it became clear that what I wanted had long gone. So really I can't go with the hype. I want these two releases, but I imagine there will be a strong chance of picking them up after the day itself.

Its a good idea and all, but really if I had a choice, I'd rather be out cycling.

I know quite a few have mentioned getting this record - any thoughts so far?

I listened to the track 'Han' last night at full volume - pretty amazing stuff actually. For the most part it's a heavy adrenaline filled rush. Fans of Spaceman's guitar freak-outs will like this a lot I think - some awesome tones and raucous feedback. Props to the Kid too.

it probably does harm copywrite issues...
“You're not Dostoevsky,' said the citizeness

'Well, who knows, who knows,' he replied.

'Dostoevsky's dead,' said the citizeness, but somehow not very confidently.

'I protest!' Behemoth exclaimed hotly. 'Dostoevsky is immortal!”

Yep, I've just downloaded using my code. I'm going to enjoy listening whilst eating my free sweets from Norman Records. :D

Only mp3s though. The voucher does mention FLAC but they're not included :(

Brilliant! I didn't get a copy of the LP, so $9.99 for a download is a good result as far as I'm concerned. Bought and downloading :D

Yep, I was gonna download FLAC but they don't have so I thought mp3 was temporally free but only FLAC would have needed the code I have. but apparently no FLAC. :?
