With pleasure and welcome back!

I saw The Doc's message five minutes after the show started and started recording at 'You're No Good'. A few drop-outs from the live stream, quality seems decent, but I'm very happy you've shared this undoubtedly better rip. Thanks so much!

The Jason mixed Breezeblocks from 1998-2003 are like my bread and butter - so very much looking forward to digging deep into this!

As far as those FM comps go - ya dancer! The Spiritualized one was great but I lost that in the great HD death a while back so it would be great to hear it again. Remastered you say...?

Probably could be additional tracks for some of those now too.

Thanks again! :D

Much thanks.
I used to have those Breezelock sessions but lost them when my hard drive crashed.
Would love to grab them again.
Forget which one it is but the one where he closes with "Woman Who Rolls' is money.

Pay it forward...

I lieu of FMSpaceman's extraordinary series of amazing music posted here, I dug this one out of the archive:

J. Spaceman Breezeblock Mix 12 Feb 2002

This one does the rounds occasionally, but I like to think this is the best quality version you've ever heard!

Why? Because the night it was broadcast, like over 12 years ago, I rigged up two seperate tape recorders to record the show. As shit happens. Lucky I did, as one tape is long gone, but during moves and stuff last year I found the other I don't think it had even been played once. The quality was still pretty amazing it has to be said. I digitized said tape last year and promptly forgot about it.

Well, here it is.

Enjoy!

Tracklist:
Gavin Bryars With Tom Waits - Tramp With Orchestra (String Quartet) (Point Music)
Ted Taylor - (Love Is Like A) Rambling Rose (Marginal)
The Saints - (This) Perfect Day (EMI)
MC5 - Skunk (Dance Terin)
The Litter - I'm A Man (EVA)
The Stooges - Loose (Elektra)
Patsy Cline - Sweet Dream (Of You) (Arcade)
Aaron Neville - Tell It Like It Is (Curb)
Captain Beefheart And The Magic Band - Big Eyed Beans From Venus (Reprise)
Lee Perry And Friends - Justice To The People / Verse 2 (Trojan)
Bobby Robinson And June Bateman - Believe Me Darling (RPM)
Peter Brotzmann Group - Fuck De Boere (Unheard Music)
Jimmy Scott - Day By Day (Label M)
Gorecki - Lento e Largo - Tranquillisimo (Naxos)

“You're not Dostoevsky,' said the citizeness

'Well, who knows, who knows,' he replied.

'Dostoevsky's dead,' said the citizeness, but somehow not very confidently.

'I protest!' Behemoth exclaimed hotly. 'Dostoevsky is immortal!”

Loving these but can anybody explain how they came about? I had the Breezeblock sets already and am assuming the first download link was for a DJ set Jason did for ATP, but are the other sets "J Spaceman 80, Spacemen 3 120, Bobby Gillespie 80" and whatnot selected by those artists or by FM Spaceman, based on tracks that may have influenced said artists? Not that it really matters as this stuff is shit hot but would be nice to know, and apologies for not being familiar with your work already FM Spaceman :)

Thank you FM Spaceman for these amazing comps. These will soundtrack my trip to Brighton tomorrow.

Every now and then, friends ask me for music recommendations. Is it okay with you if I simply give them one of these next time I get asked?

Which song does Jeffrey Cat dig?

The Dr wrote:sunray- make sure you save the files instead of opening them. i opened by mistake (wasn't paying attention) then afte rthe files didn't exist on my computer and i had to wait 24 hours to re-get them!
That must've been what i did as everything is working fine now. Oops.

I think it was Olliemorr who sent me the links to these upgraded versions a couple of years ago. I didn't manage to grab them all that time before they disappeared into the ether so it's very nice to have them available now.

Excellent work and dedication by FM Spaceman and his team :D 8)

Cheers Jeffrey... and FM Spaceman.

I have to confess to having downloaded the first three epic sets... but have yet to listen to them sadly, due to a fairly toxic mixture of work and life and work and other stuff.

Good bump though - hopefully more constructive feedback awaits!
