Re: Pure Phase Ensemble (feat Mark Gardner and Ray Dickaty)
I see from their bandcamp that last year's iteration of the Pure Phase Ensemble featured Laetitia Sadier on guitar and vocals. Promptly purchased...
This really is a great release, incidentally. Beautiful stuff.

Re: Pure Phase Ensemble (feat Mark Gardner and Ray Dickaty)
i ordered it when it was first floated on here (not come yet) but was wondering of its connection to spz?
“You're not Dostoevsky,' said the citizeness
'Well, who knows, who knows,' he replied.
'Dostoevsky's dead,' said the citizeness, but somehow not very confidently.
'I protest!' Behemoth exclaimed hotly. 'Dostoevsky is immortal!”

Ray Dickaty played sax with Spz on Ladies & Gentlemen and LICD tours.
plus also the title must be kind of a reference (I don't believe 'Pure Phase' was an existing phrase before Jason used it?)

Re: Pure Phase Ensemble (feat Mark Gardner and Ray Dickaty)
I'm currently listening to the first Pure Phase Ensemble album, which apparently features the singer from Marion (!) on vocals. It's an excellent album, on a par with the recent one featuring Mark Gardener. I think fans of Spiritualized will find much to enjoy in the track "Bowie", which to my ears is a 16-minute long homage to "Angel Sigh" Have a listen and see what you think...
