I did see this come up on my Facebook feed over the weekend. I haven't listened to it yet, wanting to hold out for the physical copy, but seeing as I'm a fan boy I'll no doubt choose a dull moment in my working day to pop on my headphones and dive in. 11 days until their London show. Psyched-up for it is an understatement.

this album totally rocks. basically a continuation of Deep Trip with perhaps slightly less trippiness and more punky howling. but that's no bad thing.

also, check out this superb live version of Night Loner

That version of Night Loner is my go to video whenever I try and turn someone onto the band. It's fantastic isn't it.

I'm loving the new album. Picked up the red vinyl version with the nice fold out poster within it. Salvation is the most immediate track for me. I posted up a pic of the package (being a geek fanboy) to their Facebook page, which ended up getting liked by the drummers Mum, haha. She's very cool looking!

Have you seen the Adult Swim TV ad for it? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JL4ETjQ4IZY

I'm off to see them live in London tonight at the Shacklewell Arms. Cannot wait! Seeing them live is where it's really at, an insane experience.

Couple of recent live videos I've been grooving on of late. https://vimeo.com/136476725 and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=99unXDT ... e=youtu.be

Did anyone catch them at Liverpool Psych? They were incredible in London last Thurs night. Half an hour of a sonic juggernaut causing mayhem in a 200 capacity room. My ears were royally screwed. Spoke to Ryan and Nick before and after and they were really nice guys, quite gentle souls compared to their onstage versions.

Yeah a number of our group watched them, mixed reviews I have to say, a couple liked them, the rest didn't really, and I thought the crowd were fairly non plussed. Certainly didn't do it for me, which is a shame as I was looking forward to them (albeit with minimal expectation of what i was going to get)

I saw them Johnnyboy, I `m with you, I though they were bloody terrific, some crazy energy coming out a right balls out performance, them and Blank Mass shaded the Sacred Bones v BYM Records show case for me. Do Destruction Unit have something of the Butthole Surfers going on?? I think they do, and some hardcore punk, pretty explosive stuff for me.

Some of my friends who love noise and heavy bands don't really go for D-Unit either. Glad you loved them Niamhm! I've seen them twice now, first time 3 years back and not really getting my ahead around it, second time last week absolutely loving it. The guitarist Nick is mesmerising, love his movement and energy. Definitely on the trippier edge of the hardcore thang, something the Butthole Surfers did as well. Explosive is the word. I'm desperate to see them again real soon.
Spoke to the singer Ryan about loads of things, got onto Thee Oh Sees and he said they were all good friends and he wants to play shows with them. That'd be a dream gig for me.
