Oh Happy Day - best version???

Post by Laz69 »

Listening to the Oxford Sound City boot and enjoyed hearing it as the opener before descending into the chaos of Cop Shoot Cop (...was great part of the live show back then!) but always prefered the fuller version like the did on Jools Holland... they really hit a groove with that version and could have kept it going for quite some time.

So whats the best version you have saw/heard?

mine has to be the albert hall show for shsl. i'm sure it is not the best version but the surprise of them playing it was a thrill
“You're not Dostoevsky,' said the citizeness

'Well, who knows, who knows,' he replied.

'Dostoevsky's dead,' said the citizeness, but somehow not very confidently.

'I protest!' Behemoth exclaimed hotly. 'Dostoevsky is immortal!”

Either at the beginning of the set - the very first time I saw them, or the gigantic sounding take at as encore at the Radio City 2010 show...

Both totally astonishing!

Meltdown Festival '98 is the best. sounds huge.

I think the Ladies and Gents era versions were the best. I think it should have been retired after that to be honest.
