I really like this new song. A six minute slow burn.

Hmmm.... not winning me over with that at all. They are capable of so much more. If they have decided to go in a new direction, best of luck to them but i'm afraid i'll not be going along with them. For those who love it, i'm happy for you and hope you continue to get something out of the reunion.

I appreciate everyone is different and this might be right up some people's street but i'm a stickler for crunching, effect-laden guitars, pounding drums and brilliant bass lines and catchy pop tunes. I don't care if thats old hat or cliched... thats what i like about them. This has nothing. Fuck, even Tarantula, which gets slated often enough, is better than this!

Gotta disagree. The only song on Tarantula that's better than this new one is "Black Nite Crash."

I like it.

This is similar to the music Andy has been putting into his DJ sets. This is his thing and I like it.

After a few listens I like it, not really a new direction, I would say similar terrain is covered on the recent album, a kinda Cure, New Order melancholic vibe, could detect it as far back as GBA I would say,

The other, previously unveiled track - Pulsar - is more in keeping with the `shoegaze` sound I suppose, shorter and noisier.
