I read that this morning and thought 'this interviewer is a lot more informed about the band than usual'. Now I know why - thanks Andy!

Interesting he says they're in the process of taking Gerald Palmer to court.

I always thought the potential costs involved had made it unviable for them to do so.

to be fair, Dom's been friends with Doggen for years and does his research. He's been pestering for an interview for a long time. Also Dom was pretty keen to avoid all the stereotypical questions about Ladies & Gents, Ashcroft, the spacemen reformation offers etc which people seem to continually ask.

I didn’t realise that about FUI, if I had I wouldn't have bought the vinyl remaster.

all forms of the FUI remaster are distributed by ADASAM. A Gerald Palmer owned company.

in it's defence, someone said the John Rivers remastering was a vast improvement on the original release.

It was pointed out on another thread that Palmer was involved in the distribution. Glass have licensed it from Sony, so it's a bit different from Sp3. Either way though, Glass, Adasam and Sony would seem to be likely to make more than Spz receive...

"We’re losing about 30 grand on these two shows. I think by the middle of next year, we might have done enough shows without orchestras to make it up, but I don’t know. I think my new managers think it’s madness—they’re, like, What the fuck?! But I think you get a chance to do it or you don’t. And I think the shows are astonishing. It just felt like this glorious thing."

credit where its due, that is incredible artistic commitment.
