Just heard on the radio on the way in to work.
Made some really beautiful heart wrenching music - what a voice.

Really sad news. Talk Talk made some fantastic albums. Spirit of Eden and Laughing Stock are up there with the best.

not much to add rather than echo the above. he made much sublime music that was pretty indefinable.
Laughing Stock and the self titled album are superb, but Spirit of Eden is the one for me.
I wonder if there is any music in the vault? I always hoped there would be some kind of comeback or even an interview or something but he had nothing more to add.

as a tribute to Mark, Talk Talk keyboard player Tim Friese-Green has posted a demo version of Eden on soundcloud. its just guitar, drums and piano but you can already hear the key structure of the song present and correct. enjoy!
